Hari Pos Sedunia
Pada Kongres Pos Universal 1969 di Tokyo, tarikh 9 Oktober telah diisytiharkan sebagai Hari Pos Sedunia bagi memperingati penubuhan Kesatuan Pos Sedunia (Universal Postal Union atau UPU) pada tahun 1874.
Semenjak itu, Hari Pos Sedunia disambut bagi mengetengahkan kepentingan dan sumbangan perkhidmatan pos kepada populasi global sama ada dari aspek sosial mahupun ekonomi dan pada masa yang sama menghargai tenaga kerja pos sedunia.
World Post Day During the 1969 Universal Postal Congress in Tokyo, October 9 was declared World Post Day to commemorate the formation of the Universal Postal Union (UPU) which took place in 1874.
Since then, World Post Day has been celebrated to highlight the importance and contribution of postal services to the global population whether socially and economically as well as appreciating the postal workforce worldwide.
Pos Silang
Pos Silang merupakan aktiviti pertukaran poskad yang mengatakkan semua untuk mengirim dan pada masa yang sama menerima poskad secara rawak daripada pengirim poskad atau post-crossers dan lokasi di seluruh dunia. Untuk memulakan aktiviti Pos Silang ini, anda perlu mendaftarkan diri di laman sesawang pos silang bagi menerima kod negara serta identiti pengirim. Kod negara perlu ditulis di belakang poskad bagi memudahkan penerima untuk mendaftar semula poskad yang digunakan dalam laman sesawang tersebut.
Pos Malaysia mengeluarkan Edisi Kedua Pos Silang seiring dengan Hari Pos Sedunia 2019, dan keluaran kali ini memaparkan dua yeti surat yang ditempatkan di beberapa tokasi unik di Malaysia. Peti surat yang diketengahkan datam siri ini tertetak di Gunung Kinabalu (Sabah) dan Tanjung Piai (Johor).
Pos Silang is a postcard exchange activity that encourages everyone to send and in turn receives postcards from random post-crossers and places around the world. To kick-off the Pos Silang activity, one must, register with the post crossing website in order receive the country code and sender's ID. The country code is to be written on the back of the postcard in order for the recipient to re-register the postcard into the web pages used.
In this second edition of Pos Silang which coincides with World Post Day 2019, Pos Malaysia features the two post boxes that are placed in unique locations in Malaysia. The post boxes highlighted in this series are located at Gunung Kinabalu (Sabah) and Tanjung Piai (Johor).
PETI POS DI GUNUNG TERTINGGI DI MALAYSIA Gunung Kinabalu, Sabah
Peti pos ini dilancarkan pada Februari 2015 dan ditempatkan di Pendant Hut, berhampiran Rumah Rehat Laban Rata pada ketinggian 3,289 di atas paras laut dan dinobatkan sebagai Peti Pos Tertinggi di Malaysia oleh Malaysia Book of Records.
POST BOX ON THE HIGHEST MOUNTAIN IN MALAYSIA Mount Kinabalu, Sabah
The post box was unveiled in February 2015 and is placed at the Pendant Hut, near the Laban Rata Resthouse, which is located 3,289 above sea level and is officially recognised as the highest post box in Malaysia by Malaysia Book of Records.

In April 2016, Pos Malaysia created another milestone with the launch of a post box in Tanjung Piai, Johor, which is also recognised as the southernmost tip of Mainland Asia.
