SPORT SERIES - II

The Sports Series II stamps feature five sports which focus on adventure, skill and energy. The canoes and kayaks of North American Indians and Eskimos have been adapted to shoot the rapids. Sailboarding combines the principles of sailing and surfing. Tennis has been played in Australia since the 18705, whereas Rock-climbing began here in the late 1940s.
