Australia 1990 : Animals of the High Country FDC

Animals of the High Country Like many parts of wild Australia, the alpine and sub-alpine country is in danger from human carelessness. Each of the four marsupials depicted from this region, the Greater Glider, Mountain Pygmy-possum, Spotted-tailed Quoll and Brush-tailed Rock-wallaby, depend for survival on the conservation of the tenuous ecological balance of their environment.

Cover: Broad-toothed Rat Mastacomys fuscus.
Stamps and cover design: David Higgins, Maldon, Victoria.
