Biro Pengakap Sedunia terdiri daripada 8 buah pejabat utama: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Nairobi, Kenya; Kaherah, Mesir;, Manila, Filipina; Kiev, Ukraine; Brussels, Belgium dan Bandaraya Panama, Republik Panama. Pejabat Biro Pengakap Sedunia Kuala Lumpur telah memulakan operasinya pada Mei 2014. la terletak di Tingkat 17, Bangunan Sentral Vista di Brickfields menjadikannya mudah untuk diakses oleh semua. Dengan keluasan melebihi 6,000 kaki persegi, ianya merangkumi pejabat utama, bilik persidangan, bilik mesyuarat dan ruang rehat.
The World Scout Bureau consists of eight offices: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Nairobi, Kenya; Cairo, Egypt; Manila, Philippines; Kiev, Ukraine; Geneva, Switzerland; Brussels, Belgium; and Panama City, Republic of Panama. The World Scout Bureau office in Kuala Lumpur became operational in May 2014. It is located on the 17th floor of Sentral Vista building in Brickfields making it easily accessible to all. With more than 6,000 sq. ft. of built up office area, the space includes a main office, conference rooms, meeting rooms and lounge area.
Pengakap adalah satu pergerakan belia berpendidikan yang melibatkan anak-anak muda di seluruh dunia bermula dengan peringkat akar umbi hinggalah keatas. Pengakap Sedunia hari ini terdiri daripada gabungan 200 buah negara dan wilayah dengan keahlian melebihi juta orang. Keahlian semakin bertambah berkali ganda dengan penglibatan aktif lebih 7 juta sukarelawan dewasa dalam menyokong aktiviti-aktiviti tempatan bersama. Melalui pendekatan kepimpinan secara rakan sebaya dan sokongan dari golongan dewasa, setiap kumpulan Pengakap dapat mengamalkan nilai-nilai yang ada didalam Persetiaan dan Undang-Undang Pengakap. Setiap 1 juta Pengakap tempatan menerapkan pendekatan sistem pendidikan sama yang tidak formal didalam kepengakapan bagi menyesuaikan dengan aspek-aspek keunikan masyarakat tempatan dimana mereka tinggal.
Scouting is a grassroots level educational youth movement that is truly bottom-up in its structure and approach in engaging young people from all over the world. World Scouting today is a confederation of 200 countries and territories in a network of over 40 million members. Some ,7 million are adult volunteers who support local activities, resulting in a huge multiplier effect. Through peer-to-peer leadership, supported by adults, each local Scout Group embraces the same set of values illustrated in the Scout Promise and Law. Each of our 1 million local Scout Groups follows a similar system of non-formal education suited to the unique aspects of their local community.
Biro Pengakap Sedunia adalah sebuah sekretariat yang menjalankan dan melaksanakan arahan Persidangan Pengakap Sedunia dan Jawatankuasa Pengakap Sedunia. Biro ini diketuai oleh seorang Setiausaha Agung Pergerakan Organisasi Pengakap Sedunia dan disokong oleh sebilangan kakitangan di pejabat-pejabatnya di seluruh dunia. Biro ini juga mengekalkan hubungan bersama Organisasi Pengakap Kebangsaan didalam menyediakan sokongan dari pelbagai sudut berkaitan termasuk menganjur acara-acara Pengakap Sedunia dan bertindak sebagai penghubung antara pergerakan Pengakap dan organisasi antarabangsa yang lain di dunia.
The World Scout Bureau is the secretariat that carries out the instructions of the World Scout Conference and the World Scout Committee. The Secretary General of the World Organization of the Scout Movement heads the World Scout Bureau and is supported by a number of staff members across its offices around the world. The Bureau maintains relationships with the National Scout Organizations supporting them in various areas, organises World Scout Events and develops relationships with other organisations at the global level.
