Singapore 2009 : Local Desserts FDC

Food is well loved in Singapore.
In Singapore, eating is often considered a national past time. Coffee Shops, hawker centres, restaurants, food courts, cafes and snack shops dot the numerous well-ordered streets of the island city and its suburbs. The wonderful wide variety of food reflects Singapore's unique cultural heritage, as its cuisine, aromas and flavours are a blend of different cultures. the range of local desserts is no exception, as one will be spoilt for choice. In this stamp issue, a sampling of some favourite local desserts are appetizingly featured on the five namely: Ice kacang, Ondeh-ondeh, Ang Ku Kueh, Lapis Sagu and Mithai.
