Malaysia 2019 : Makanan Eksotik FDC



MAKANAN EKSOTIK / EXOTIC FOOD 

Malaysia dikenali sebagai sebuah negara yang mempunyai kepelbagaian dad segi makanan serta kebudayaan. Justeru, tidak hairanlah jika kita dapat menikmati petbagai jenis juadah seperti nasi temak, roti canal serta teh tank. Setain itu, Malaysia turut dikenali dengan petbagai juadah atau makanan eksotik yang boleh didapati di beberapa lokasi di seturuh negara. Untuk sesetengah orang, makanan eksotik seperti Betalang Kunyit, Beronok, Landak Raya dan Betangkas mungkin agak ganjil, namun bag) sesetengah penggemar makanan eksotik ini, juadah ini mampu memberikan kepuasan terhadap selera mereka. 

Malaysia is a country known as a melting pot of cuisines and culture. Thus, it is not unusual to enjoy various cuisines such as nasi lemak, roti canai and teh tank, amongst others. On the other hand, Malaysia is well-known for its various exotic food; found in states and locations throughout the country. To some, exotic food such as the Valanga Grasshopper, Beronok, Malayan Porcupine and Horseshoe Crab are rare or unheard of but to some, these are the most sought after cuisines to appease the pallet. 

Beronok 
Beronok Sea Cucumber 

Beronok atau nama saintifiknya Acaudina molpadioides merupakan sejenis hidupan taut yang sering ditemui di kawasan pantai yang berselut. Beronok mempunyai tekstur seakan-akan garnet taut dan berwarna merah jambu atau ketabu, serta mempunyai tekstur seperti isi kelapa dan rasanya agak masin. Kerabu beronok merupakan hidangan eksotik yang amat terkenat di Pulau Langkawi. Cara penyediaannya pula amat mudah kerana beronok boteh dimakan secara mentah. Bahan-bahan seperti pucuk gajus dan bawang besar dimayangpatus, kerisik dan sambal ketapa akan digaul bersama isi beronok dan setelah sebati, maka kerabu beronok telah tersedia untuk dihidangkan.

Beronok or scientifically known as Acaudina molpadioides are commonly found near the muddy beach area. Beronok has leathery skin similar to a sea cucumber and are usually pink or grey in colour. It has the texture of a coconut flesh and has a salty flavour. Beronok or Acaudina Salad is a well-known exotic dish found in Langkawi Island. The preparation of this dish is very simple, as beronok can be consumed raw Ingredients such as cashew leaves and onion are thinly chopped, friend coconut flesh as well as coconut samba( paste are mixed-well with the beronok flesh, and the beronok salad is ready to be served. 

Belalang Kunyit 
Valanga Grasshopper 

Belalang Kunyit atau Valanga nigricornis merupakan sejenis betatang berwarna kuning kehijauan yang boteh dimakan serta kaya dengan sumber protein. Belalang kunyit goreng merupakan salah satu makanan ringan eksotik yang digemari ramai kerana rasanya yang lemak manis. Cara menyediakan amat mudah yakni dengan mengaulkan betatang kunyit tersebut dengan garam serta kunyit yang kemudiannya akan digoreng garing. 

The Valanga Grasshopper or Valanga nigricornis is an edible yellowish green insect high in protein. The fried Valanga grasshopper is an exotic snack favoured by many for its creamy and sweet taste. The grasshopper is marinated in salt and turmeric before it is deep fried till crispy. 

Landak Raya 
Malayan Porcupine 

Landak Raya atau nama saintifiknya Hystrix brachyura merupakan satah satu haiwan vertebrata yang terdapat di Malaysia. Landak Raya merupakan haiwan berdarah panas serta membiak dengan melahirkan anak dan mempunyai bulu badan yang tajam. Rendang serta stik landak merupakan hidangan eksotik yang agak terkenat di daerah Sekinchan. Daging landak mempunyai rasa yang manis dan teksturnya pula seakan-akan isi ayam, namun sedikit pejal.

The Malayan Porcupine or scientifically known as Hystrix brachyura is a vertebrate animal found in Malaysia. The Malayan Porcupine is a warm blooded animal which gives birth to its babies and has sharp quills covering its body. The porcupine rendang and steak are the famous exotic cuisine found in the Sekinchan district. The porcupine's flesh is sweet and its flesh's texture is similar to the chicken, yet slightly chewy.

Belangkas 
Horseshoe Crab 

Belangkas atau nama saintifiknya Carcinoscorpius rotundicauda merupakan haiwan yang hidup di taut masin dan sedikit di paya air tawar. Belangkas lazimnya akan bergerak secara pasangan dan biasanya mudah ditangkap di tepi-tepi pantai kerana tidak menggigit. Kerabu telur belangkas merupakan hidangan eksotik yang dibuat dengan mencampurkan telur belangkas dengan hirisan mangga muda, kacang yang ditumbuk, citi serta sambal belacan yang digaul sebati. Kerabu ini amat terkenal di negeri Perlis.

The horseshoe crab or scientifically known as Carcinoscorpius rotundicauda are usually found around shallow coastal waters on soft sandy or muddy bottoms. The horseshoe crab as usually found in pairs and easily caught as it is known as a gentle type of animal. Horseshoe crab salad is an exotic cuisine which is made by mixing thoroughly ingredients such as young mango, pound ground nuts, chilli and shrimp paste. This dish is well known in Perlis.
